Odds Review: Week Ending 02/04

We’re back with our first update in two weeks and it’s fair to say not a whole lot has changed within the market or perceptions on the year in general. Given the main questions over the year are pretty Sweden’s potential staging dilemma and what levels of non song support Ukraine will receive the preview parties underway haven’t been particularly enlightening. In general performance levels of most artists are known regardless and there’s always the caveat of the environment being totally different to May so it’s rare I find much to comment on with these events. That said, Czechia and The UK have seen the worse reactions to the available lives with Spain going down well on home soil. Again, I don’t think these outcomes are particularly surprising.

The market has began shuffling in anticipation of this months eurojury scores which will be far more telling whilst the OGAE and various other fan polls should be presenting a fairly predictable top 10. Sweden not winning Eurojury would be an upset and Ukraine are expected to miss the top 5 with Finland the most unpredictable of the three favourites but there’s a lot to play for behind them as we figure out who if anyone from the double digits pack is within striking distance.
