Norway 2022: Subwoolfer with ‘Give That Wolf A Banana’

After beating out Northkid in last night's MGP final, Subwoolfer are heading to Turin:

Subwoolfer are a good edition to the contest and look to be a highlight of the evening, especially for casual viewers. There's a small sense that it's trying a bit too hard to be quirky but it's a minor complaint given the opposition. Looking at the current field and what we think is to come it's possible Norway find themselves with a big televote score, although it is easy to overestimate the public's appetite for “fun”.

No matter how well this does on the televote, juries are going to put a limit on it's ambitions. It's a silly, repetitive pop song lacking in much originality despite the window dressing and they'll see through that- Norway can rely on some support and it won't be crucified, but it will be nowhere near their top 4/5 ruling them out baring a real mathematical anomaly.

For staging it's certainly hampered by the six person limit as that choreography would look quite good if they were allowed to fill the stage. Norway are unlikely to change too much with it between now and May with their rehearsal unlikely to provide many surprises.

Semi Final 1 shouldn't produce any problems where this is looking fairly strong at this stage whilst a low top 10 seems the most likely outcome.
