Odds Review #6: Week Ending 11/02

Starting at the top of the odds, this past week has seen a changing of the guard in second with Olly Alexander's 20 second tease of 'Dizzy' reducing general optimism over The UK and the selection of Angelina Mango through Sanremo seeing Italy shorten in to single figures after threatening a drfit. Windows95man's victory in Finland resulted in some brief backing before coming back out to the pre selection prices. It may or may not gather a better result than 'Paskana' would have but is certainly more capped. At around the same time, Latvia confirmed Dons as their representative with 'Hollow'. Reviews of both will be coming up in the next few days.

Israel confirmed Eden Golan as their entrant earlier in the week, who is undoubtedly a talented artist. From what I've read we're in ballad territory with a splattering of hebrew thrown in. The reception to the song when it comes is unlikely to be generous. They remain static around 16s.

The coming week is a busy one with Germany starting us off on Friday, before we get the entries from Moldova, Estonia, Denmark and Lithuania. Germany are the shortest price here around 40 suggesting a not-so-super-Saturday whilst melfest semi 3 is the least anticipated based off the entrant's odds. Technically, I guess that makes the first glimpse of Bashar Murad in Iceland the 'highlight' of the week according to outright odds.
